My Dad's Wedding In Texas

Kelly and I left for Texas very early on May 16th. We drove straight through and arrived at my Dad’s at about 3:30pm. We made a few stops on the way for gas and bathroom breaks. We left at 5:00am and so it was a long trip.

Friday we went to Cheddar’s for dinner with Dad and Mary Lou. It was nice to have some of the family together for that dinner. Molly and Mary Lois was there and it was good to see both of them. Dan (my brother) & Mary his wife was there and I was glad they were able to make it. Of course Kelly and I were there and I was glad we were able to make it also. Mary Lou’s brother was able to be with us also. I don’t want to forget the two guests of honor; Dad & Mary Lou were there as well.

We had a wonder meal that was to die for. Molly I want to thank you for your generous gift in paying for this meal. It was good to see Molly. I can’t remember when I saw her last but it seems like a very long time. It was really good seeing her.

The next day was the wedding and we had an exciting start. We got ready from our Hotel in Marshall, Texas headed off to DeBerry, Texas and when we got on the highway I asked Kelly about the wedding card. We had forgotten it so we had to go back and get it. Good thing I left a bit early or we would have been late.

The wedding was wonderful and the church put on a wonderful reception and dinner after the wedding. The wedding was just beautiful and it was so nice to see everyone. If you missed the wedding I took a video and it is posted on my Facebook page.

Kelly and I drove back on Sunday and we got home about 3:30pm. We left Marshall, Texas at 5:00am and got home at 3:30pm. A very long trip but I was glad I was able to go.
