Dear Pastor Sam
Dear Pastor Sam,
I am a new Christian and I am trying to live my life according to the Bible. I read my Bible every day and some of it I have a very hard time understanding. I was told by a friend that you don’t have to read if like a regular book from the front to the back. Can you explain to me why?
Dear New Christian,
I am glad you are trying to live your life according to the Bible and very glad you are reading your Bible daily. The Bible is made up of 66 books and it is filled with a wealth knowledge. You can start anywhere but I recommend the gospels or the Psalms. The books Matthew, Mark, Luke, & John are the gospels. Psalm is in Old Testament and is filled with many encouraging promises and lots of good advice. Keep reading but starting in the Old Testament is not advised as a new Christian. I encourage reading every day and allow the Holy Spirit to guide you.
