Our Smoky Mountain Trip

We left on Thursday, March 21st after Kelly got off work and we drove to Clarksville, TN. It was a nice trip and we stopped at a Hotel we had been at before. They allow pets and Jasper likes this place. They have a nice place for the dog to do their business.

We checked in and then relaxed until time to go to bed. In the morning I walked the dog and then Kelly and I went for breakfast. This Hotel offers a free breakfast in the Hotel restaurant. They serve a great breakfast. We had fresh scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, cinnamon rolls, and french toast and more. It was an all you can eat breakfast. They also had waffles and pancakes but we didn’t eat any. It was a big breakfast to get us going. Then we got on the road to get to our cabin in the Smoky Mountains.

We arrived about 15 miles from our cabin at about 3:00pm and check in was at 4:00pm so we stopped at the Wal-Mart and picked up so supplies so we would have some breakfast food and snacks. We bought some lunch meat and bread and milk. Then we headed to the cabin.

We got about a half mile from cabin and the road on the mountain was closed due to a tree fell in the road and messed the road up. We called our host and they helped us drive around a different way. It was about six miles longer but we got to our cabin without a problem.

When we got into our cabin it was awesome. We had a Hot Tub and a pool table in a big family room. It had a fireplace with a gas fire and a big king size bed. It was so awesome I can’t explain it.

We sat down and relaxed and it was great. We played pool and relaxed in the Hot Tub. We had a wonderful weekend.

We ate dinner at a steakhouse on Saturday afternoon and enjoyed the mountain view and the beauty that surrounded us.

On Monday morning we left and headed home. It was a wonderful trip and very relaxing. We enjoyed every minute of the trip. Jasper enjoyed it too and we didn’t encounter any bears but we did keep our eyes open for them.

We both needed this trip and Kelly and I had a great time. If you have never been there you ought to check it out because it is a trip you will never forget.
