Help Is On The Way

The other day I noticed a car broke down beside the road. I opened my window and asked the driver if he needed me to call someone for him. His reply was, “Help is on the way.”
About an hour later when I was driving the other way coming back I noticed that his car was still there. Because I was all the way on the other side of a four lane highway I decided to call someone for him.
When I called the police department they said they sent someone to check on him and he told them, “Help is on the way.”
It is really sad that people these days are not willing to admit that they need help.
A few days later I drove by and the car was there but nobody was in it. I noticed it had a sticker on it from the police warning that they were going to tow it.
