A Very Strange Event

Have you ever had something happen to you that you thought was really strange? You wanted to find out what happened so you went to major lengths to find out what happened.

Recently Kelly and I paid off our truck at the credit union where we financed it at.We waited to get our title back and never got it so I decided to call them to find out where it was.

They told me that they hold the title 14 days after it was paid off before mailing it. I don’t know why that would be as we paid it off completely with a wire money transfer and the money came out of our savings account right away so they had their money.

I waited the 14 days and still no title. I called them again and they said that it was being processed and would be mailed in a few days.

I waited another week and still no title so I called them again. They held me on the line for almost an hour and then told me it was mailed two days before I called so I needed to wait a couple of more days and we would get it.

Well, I waited another week and no title. I pushed the lady and she wouldn’t give me a clear answer except to say it was mailed. Then she suggested she would fax me a copy of the release and I could apply for a lost title.

This was not agreeable to me so I asked to speak to a supervisor. When the supervisor got on the phone she said it was mailed and that they sent it certified mail and I should get the tracking number and trace it down. I told her I didn’t have the tracking number and they supposedly mailed it to me that they needed to track it down and make the matter right.

Guess what? The next day the title was at my door certified mail next day. It took a total of 28 days for me to get the title after it was paid off.

Have you ever had to deal with a situation like that? If so how did you deal with it? Is there anyone you can report them to? I am beyond upset and I want to make sure nobody has to go through this like I did. Let me know your thoughts.
