Rain & Heat

It doesn’t seem that we can get what we want for weather lately.  We have a choice between heat or rain and I don’t like either.  Either it rains for days or we have a heat wave that lasts for days.

I don’t understand why we can’t put a few mild days in the middle.  When we get rain all week the pool gets over full and the grass gets extra-long.  Then when the heat comes it is too hot to go out and mow or do any outside activity.

What happened to the days when we had mild weather where we could go swimming, boating, and picnicking?  It would be nice to not have to swim between the thunderstorms or picnic in the rain.

Jocelynn had her last two baseball games canceled because of the lightning and thunderstorms.  The last game we went to it was so hot you could fry an egg on the sidewalk.

June is almost over and before you know it we will be getting snow showers.  I am not looking forward to that.

Eariler this month we had a couple of nice days and I was able to get out and ride my scooter as Kelly and the girls were in Florida.  Now I don’t have enough nice days to ride my scooter.  I for sure am not going to ride in the rain.

The other day Jocelynn wanted to go swimming and so I went out with her to the pool.  She jumped in and said wow this is nice and she swam to the middle and back and just as she got to the ladder thunder struck and she was out of the pool and in the house before I could get the stuff picked up that I took out there.

Well, I guess that is enough of my ranting.  I am sorry why don’t you write me and tell me about all the nice weather you are getting down your way.

From what I understand they would have been happy with all the rain we got in Arizona where they had wildfires.  I am sorry to complain but this is the Midwest and we should have better weather.

Until next time!!
