Dear Pastor Sam
Dear Pastor Sam,
My sister is 23 years old and still lives at home. I am 21 years old and I have moved out and have my own apartment and a job to support myself. She is still living off my parents and doesn’t work. I told her she ought to enroll in a Junior College or a community college but she just keeps draining my parents dry. She even has my mom doing her laundry and the last time I talked to my dad he said she doesn’t help around the house or pay anything. What do you suggest?
Wishing My Parents Would Kick her Out
I don’t think kicking her out will solve the problem. I think your parents should encourage her to get a job and help around the house. If she won’t get a job they should require her do some chores and her own laundry. Sometimes if they have to do more work to stay home they think they would be better off getting their own place. I think they should take baby steps in dealing with this problem. Pastor Sam
