Can I Have Your Attention?

It really takes a great deal of work to get the attention of those you want to talk to. Why is that? It is because we are caught up in the busy activities of our world. We are in a rush to go nowhere with a plan.

When was the last time you sat down and just relaxed and looked at the stars or breathed in the fresh air? We get so busy with all the events around us we don't have time to enjoy the things in the world God created. Just like me trying to get your attention. You are many times so busy you can't stop to give your attention to anything else. It takes something hitting you between the eyes to get you to stop for a minute.

Several weeks ago I wrote a post about looking at the horses. Not many read it. Maybe you aren't interested in horses or maybe you are just too busy. The idea was that we should stop for a moment and look at the horses and see that the world doesn't revolve around us. There are other events happening on every side and we ought to stop and view them.

When I lived in Baraboo we sometimes climbed to the top of the bluff so we could just look down at the beauty that God created and for just once think about something other that ourselves. We have become so selfish that the only thing we think about is our self. That is why we ought to take some time and think about others and the things around us.

I hope you will take some time and look around and find someone you can do something special for. Someone is having a bad day today and you can do something to make it better. I hope you will take this opportunity to do just that.

I wished you would drop me an line if you followed this advice and let me know how it went. It would be a blessing to me and I could use a blessing.
