Oh What A Blessing To Serve The Lord

I have been honored to serve our Lord in the ministry over the past 33 years. I began my ministry in Baraboo, Wisconsin and was honored to serve there for almost 16 years. I had many ups and downs and I had the opportunity to see the power of God in many ways. The people at Baraboo were an honor to serve. I had the opportunity to baptize many of those who accepted Christ as their Savior while I was there. I was honored to baptize a 94 year old lady who I had the honor to lead to the Lord. It was a wonderful time of ministry.

Serving the Lord can be very rewarding and it makes live worth living. It is hard sitting in the seats of a church and watching someone else do the preaching as I loved it so very much. Just the other day as I sat listening to the preacher I thought of the many years I served the Lord preaching. I miss preaching and I enjoyed being used of God.

If you will allow yourself to be used of God He will mold you and make you into what He needs to fill a very important job. Of all the jobs you could have being God's mouth is more important than them all. I would have rather served Him preaching than being the President of the United States or the mayor of some big city.

As I was reviewing my life in God's service I thought of the many young people I was able to have a small part in their life. The blessing comes when you see someone you were able to touch in your ministry serving the Lord.

Don't allow the opportunity to serve God pass you by. You will never experience a greater reward and you will never regret your service to the Lord.
