Gambling, Where Do You Stand?

Everyone has their opinion on this issue. I wouldn't venture here but I have been asked for my opinion. I have heard all the sides of this issue and you probably aren't going to like what I have to say and if you don't like what I am going to say please e-mail me privately and chew me out privately.

Some say that the money that they earn is theirs and if they want to gamble that is their business. My problem comes when you begin using God's money (your tithe) because you wasted your food money. Some people buy a few lottery tickets each week and when they win they give God His part. Then there is other kind of people I hear about you can't control themselves and the gamble their paycheck and more. When a person wins they have the idea that if they try again that they will win big so they keep going and before you know it, they have blown the paycheck. There are also people who ruin their lives gambling because they have no personal discipline. These type of people ought to stay away from any type of gambling establishment.

Across the street from my house is a gas station. They have video gambling in there and everyday I see this same lady who goes in there and spends hours gambling. One day I happen to be coming in when she was leaving. She was cursing and using God's name in vain because He didn't help her win. Gambling is a game of chance and God doesn't fix the machine so you will win.

God does have a sure thing for you. If you are faithful to Him and give Him what belongs to Him, (the tithe) He will bless you. I know many people say how does that work? Well, you give the local church your tithe and God will bless you beyond measure. You will find that your paycheck goes a bit further when you give God His part.

Don't knock it till you have tried it. I can tell you from personal experience that His plan works better than your plan. So if you want a sure thing then give God His tithe and watch how He opens the windows of Heaven and pours out His blessing.

Please write and let me know your thought on this issue. My ears are open or should I say my hearing aids are turned on.
